The Somerset Centre supports Older People ( 55 +) in the Brighton & Hove Area with active community engagement . Reducing isolation , loneliness , anxiety and provides respite for carers supporting family members with Dementia

What does the opportunity involve doing?

we are looking for Volunteers to help our existing support staff with the running of activities, art and craft ,support members with board game , support on outings , serving lunches and teas , engage in conversation
and be a part of our team , providing a very rewarding volunteering role with training if desired

What induction, training and support is offered?

Somerset Centre provides a full induction for all Volunteers with on going support from staff members and management additional training is available if Volunteers wish to apply

What skills or qualities are needed?

A willing to want to engage with Older people and be part of a dedicated team
patience and understanding
