CCorg is a community group which has several projects on the go for the benefit and wellbeing of Coldean residents. One of these is the Community charity shop which is open 3 afternoons per week 12-4pm and sells clothes, books, toys and a lot of other useful stuff! We would like to increase the hours the shop is open but to do this we need more volunteers.
What does the opportunity involve doing?
Sorting out donations, labelling goods, working the till, window displays, tidying and cleaning.
What induction, training and support is offered?
A Staff member will ensure you are given full training and you can say if you would rather not do certain things eg window display or cleaning.
What skills or qualities are needed?
Commitment and reliability is important as is good timekeeping.
Confidence when talking to the general public is a plus but not necessary.
