Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity supports under-fives with cerebral palsy, chromosome abnormalities and rare genetic disorders. We offer intensive early intervention services to children, providing physiotherapy, conductive education, swimming sessions, music therapy, speech and language therapy and home-play sessions - all free of charge.
The charity receive no statutory funding and are reliant on the goodwill of the community to continue to provide our life-changing service to families in need.
What does the opportunity involve doing?
As an Administration Support Volunteer for Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity, you'll be able to make a huge difference to children's lives. You will play a crucial role in helping us successfully fundraise, recruit volunteers and raise the profile of the charity.
Responsibilities include:
- Research
- Administrative tasks including writing thank you letters to our supporters
- Working on events and projects with our team
The role is flexible and can either be undertaken at home or from our centre in Chailey.
What induction, training and support is offered?
Volunteers will be given an induction at our centre on their first day of volunteering.
They will be given ongoing support and training from our team throughout their time with us.
