Sight Support Worthing

Sight Loss charity offering advice, assistive tech support, free counselling, benefits applications, events and clubs for people experiencing sight loss or living with visual impairments. Based in Worthing, we offer support to people no matter where they live.

Sight Support Worthing was founded in 1910, so we are a well-established charity with our purpose supporting the independence and wellbeing of visually impaired people.

Our clients experience barriers to opportunities and inaccessible places, products, and services and our purpose is to improve independence and inclusion which we do through our range of activities. We offer our services at our premises in central Worthing, out on location or in client’s own homes.

Our core services are events, clubs and classes; tech support; counselling; welfare advocacy; sports inclusion and we also run external disability awareness training workshops.

In addition to our work with clients, we foster a culture of collaboration and inclusion. We regularly network and partner with other organisations, commercial businesses, community events and involve our clients and volunteers wherever we can.

Joining SSW as a client or a volunteer means becoming part of our charity and having a voice in how we do things. We always look for opportunities to do new and better activities, and most of all we have fun!
