Mind Brighton and Hove

Mind in Brighton and Hove works to promote good mental health in Brighton and Hove and across Sussex. We empower people to lead a full life as part of their local community. We provide a range of support to enable people to make choices about their support, treatment and the services they use.
Mind in Brighton and Hove was established in 1971 is a Registered Charity, affiliated to but independent from the national charity Mind. We work in partnership with a wide range of other voluntary sector organisations, the public sector and the statutory sector.

Mental Health Advocacy Services
A range of free, independent, confidential and professional mental health advocacy services which provide information on rights and treatment options, help to access support and services, representation at meetings and support to express views about care
• Community Advocacy for people over 18yrs, available by self-referral
• Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) a statutory service available to all qualifying patients under the mental health act, also accessible via self- referral

Advice and Information
Brighton and Hove Advice Service an open access service for anyone living in Brighton and Hove with a mental health concern, carers and professionals
• advice on local mental health and wellbeing service
• mental health conditions, treatment options, and other mental health related issues
• help and support to access information on self-help/self-management techniques
• wellbeing information and self-help groups

Training
We develop and deliver high quality mental health and wellbeing training helping businesses, community and voluntary organisations including mental health awareness, managing mental health in the workplace, building resilience & coping with stress.
