Reflective practice facilitator at Sussex Gender Service

Sussex Gender Service are looking for an experienced facilitator for our staff reflective practice groups. We are a multi-disciplinary team of non-clinical and clinical staff, working in partnership with The Clare Project, a local charity for trans, non-binary & intersex (TNBI) people. Reflective practice groups provide space for staff members to reflect, observe, process and learn in relation to their experiences at work. They can provide a supportive and developmental space for people to explore and understand their interactions, clinical decision making, team dynamics and the emotional impact of work, amongst other things.

Experience & skills required:
- Experience running reflective practice groups
- Professional background in therapy/group work
- We would welcome someone with lived experience of being TNBI to apply

Renumeration: £120 per session, on a freelance basis, + travel expenses

We run 2 sessions per month, and are looking for 1 or 2 people to facilitate our groups, to start ASAP.

We run sessions during the following time slots, which are based in a meeting room in St Peter's Health Centre in central Brighton. We are looking for facilitators who can attend in-person. Please only apply if you are available during these times.

Usual time slots:
3rd Thursday of the month - 10:30 am - 12 noon
4th Tuesday of the month - 10:30 am - 12 noon

About our team:
We are administrators and operational managers, clinical nurse specialists, clinical & counselling psychologists, voice therapists, GP's, care navigators and engagement and development workers. We also regularly have volunteers, students and trainees working with the service. We have a variety of lived experience within the team.

- The impact of being TNBI and working in a gender service
- Team dynamics
- Minority stress
- Vicarious trauma
- Intersectionality
