You will be supporting a small team (4-5 people) of trans researchers carrying out the project outlined on our website (looking into informed consent models of trans healthcare and producing literature both for trans people and for healthcare professionals).
Every team member will have a number of allocated hours to work with you, with the aim of making lots of largely self-managed work feel less daunting, and helping to ensure everyone is meeting their goals in ways that feel manageable and fulfilling.
This is likely to include things like:
☆ 1-on-1 support talking-based support: such as video/voice calls and/or messaging to talk ideas through and get advice on how to structure their work with you, and, where possible, thinking of ways you can offer support in order to facilitate them following their plans
☆ Support with time management: such as asking for email/message reminders to complete a certain task on a certain day, or providing check-ins to see if they have been completed; working together to develop a sense of shared accountability holding
☆ Helping people to identify the barriers that are making their work more difficult to complete, and working with them to develop ways to address these
☆ Carrying out administrative tasks on their behalf - such as sending emails or making phone calls
☆ Helping with general organisation, such as supporting them in developing a method for recording and storing information that they find
☆ Support with developing a way to keep track of their hours, and with invoicing
☆ Providing an encouraging, reassuring and energising presence to work with!
