We have improved access and facilities for wheelchair users so that:
- our main entrance and our South Wing entrance are accessible by wheelchair users
- both our lifts are accessible by wheelchair users
- many of our fire doors are held open by magnets to improve access
- we have four wheelchair accessible toilets
- there is wheelchair access to our balcony on the fifth floor next to the South Wing conference room.

Reception Entrance
Located in the North Wing, our Reception entrance is next to the Community Kitchen on Queens Road. It has a Community Base logo above the door and is the first Community Base entrance you will reach as you travel down from the station towards the seafront.
The Reception entrance has two automatic doors. Push buttons are located on left hand side of doors outside and inside reception, this will open both doors.
The receptionist will greet you and contact your host, and you will be able to take a seat while you wait. There is also an accessible bathroom should you need to use it.
You will either be collected by your host in Reception, or given directions by the receptionist. Please let the receptionist know if you need any assistance.

South Wing Entrance
The South Wing entrance is a short distance from Reception further down Queens Road towards the seafront. The South Wing entrance also has an automatic door.
On arrival, visitors should check instructions given to them by their hosts. They may be asked to use the intercom to the right of the door to call their host, or they may be asked to go to reception.
If calling hosts from the intercom, the host will open the door from the inside. The lift is on your left as you enter.
If you get no answer from your host, go to Reception and ask the receptionist.
To exit via the South Wing door, press the push button on the right hand side of the door.
