Brighthelm Trustees and Chair at Brighthelm Church and Community Centre

Brighthelm is one of the largest community centres in Brighton and welcomes more than 60,000 people through its doors each year. It is a vibrant and inclusive place where everyone is welcome, providing a home for several charities and organisations as well as space for tenants, community groups, meetings, conferences and events. The centre also has a large auditorium and a community garden.
Built in 1987, Brighthelm was the vision of the United Reformed Church congregation, to offer a community space for all who lived in Brighton. With original oversight of the congregation, the building is still owned by the United Reformed Church, Southern Synod, with a much smaller and less involved church presence. Brighthelm now has a small, friendly team with a small trustee’s board. We are looking to expand that board with new and exciting opportunities for local people with the necessary skills and experience to help us develop our charitable work for the next 40 years…
