The Regency Town House

The Regency Town House is a Grade 1 Listed terraced home, built in the 1820s and now being restored as a heritage centre and museum. There are rooms for hire on the ground and first floors and in its Basement Annexe in an adjacent building. The venue is used for exhibitions of art and photography, for photo and video shoots and for book readings, recitals and other events of a cultural or heritage nature.

The rooms in the Town House are large by domestic standards, with high ceilings and decorative plasterwork, while those in the Basement Annexe are smaller, darker and more somber. Some of the rooms have been restored and others remain in a state of faded disrepair.

Photographs and measured drawings of the spaces and can be found on our website, together with our Rate Card and an example of our contract and terms.

Accessibility: we have a ramp that we can deploy to provide wheelchair access to the ground floor but, due to the nature of the building, the other storeys and the WC are not wheelchair accessible.
