KALINKA

Sussex Russian Centre KALINKA is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation, established in 2008 by a group of parents who just wanted to meet, socialise, make new friends and share common interests. Then the idea of a Russian school formed, to promote the language and Russian culture and to offer our children an opportunity to play and learn in a friendly warm environment.

Over the years Kalinka has grown and we always welcome children and adults to join us and to share and promote our aims, in particular:

- To encourage the integration of all Russian speaking people residing in Sussex and therefore to reduce their isolation by bringing them into closer association with the local community.
- To advance education by preserving and promoting Russian language and culture of Russian-speaking countries to wider community.
- To promote and co-ordinate the work of statutory and voluntary organizations which further the integration of Russian speaking persons into society.
