Wave Community Bank

Wave Community Bank (fka East Sussex Credit Union) is a savings and loans co-operative offering financial services to anyone living or working in East Sussex and Brighton & Hove.
We have a current membership of over 8,800 people and they have increased their savings with us to over £3.9 million and we have lent out more than £2.25 million, some of which is lent to people who are most in need.
We have engaged across a number of sectors (housing, business, government, academia and advice) with a view to building joined up approaches to tackling financial exclusion. Our social mission has led us to runs schemes to homeless people and survivors of domestic violence and trafficking access basic bank accounts. 37% of our loans are to singe parent families and 38% of our loans are to people living in areas of multiple deprivation.
