Youth workers will work with young people, staff and volunteers to deliver:
BMEYPP weekly drop in sessions - co-ordinate the development and delivery of the future BME Young People’s drop- in sessions which will include multi cultural cooking, arts and crafts, debates and discussions, watching and discussing films.
BME Youth Champions and Leaders will involve working with young volunteers aged 16 to 25 to carry out engagement events, consultation with their peers and implement our accreditation systems.
BMEYPP Transitions Project supporting young people moving from Year 6 to secondary education which will involve delivering workshops in primary schools with Year 6 students and recruiting and developing a team of peer buddies in secondary schools.
BMEYPP Young Migrants Project – working with young people who have recently moved to the UK
Mentoring and Tutoring Project - recruiting and supporting community volunteers to provide one to one support to young people
Holiday Activities and Trips - working with young people to plan activities, trips and residentials during evenings, weekends and during the school holidays.
We are looking for people who are highly motivated and enthusiastic to develop positive relationships with young people and be a positive role model for them.
