Principal responsibilities and duties:
Visual Merchandising
Develop and implement engaging visual merchandising strategies tailored to a second-hand retail environment.
Regularly refresh store displays to reflect seasonality, campaigns, and stock levels, working closely with retail managers.
Train, mentor, and support companions and volunteers on visual standards, storytelling techniques, and display execution.
Use visual presentation to increase sales, extend customer dwell time, encourage cross-promotion, and highlight priority campaigns.
Embrace sustainability by reusing and repurposing materials wherever possible.
Event styling support
Plan and deliver collaborative creative projects connected to events, including companion sessions, upcycling
workshops, and corporate volunteer days.
Involve companions directly in storytelling and event styling activities.
Build relationships with local organisations to enhance event outcomes and elevate onsite visual experiences.
Brand support (digital and physical)
Contribute to the store’s online presence through weekly photos, “new in” highlights, and short-form video content.
Audit and improve in-store signage, messaging, and displays to strengthen brand identity and cross-selling
opportunities.
Collaborate with fundraising and marketing teams to ensure in-store activities integrate effectively with wider organisational campaigns.
Other duties
Any other duties and accountabilities as required by the Business Manager, including additional duties and responsibilities to cover for holidays and absences.
