Turning Tides is the lead provider for the West Sussex DAAT contract for Accommodation-Based Support Services for Alcohol and Drug Recovery.
In addition to supporting individuals in early recovery within a residential setting, Turning Tides delivers a unique Managed Withdrawal from Alcohol Programme for clients who are physically dependent on alcohol and are seeking support to address their dependency.
This programme was developed in collaboration with external clinicians and professionals from Turning Tides’ Recovery Project. It provides a safe and structured detoxification pathway for a vulnerable and marginalised group of individuals experiencing homelessness or insecure housing, who have historically faced barriers in accessing other services.
Turning Tides Recovery Project is a specialist residential service supporting up to 31 individuals experiencing homelessness, offering a safe and supportive environment in which they can begin their recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be a key member of the Recovery Project team, contributing to the delivery of the Managed Withdrawal from Alcohol Programme for alcohol-dependent clients within a residential setting. In your role as Nurse Practitioner, you will provide clinical support to the frontline team, including conducting health checks and assessments, monitoring withdrawal symptoms, and liaising with GP surgeries and other healthcare professionals.
