Running our Community Centre and helping our charity and our neighbourhood to thrive. You’ll oversee operations, staff, safeguarding, finances and building management and help us grow income, build partnerships and increase our impact.   Currently we're embarking on community consultation for a new business plan for our next chapter.

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, improving how things work, supporting others to do their best work, and being part of a team helping to make a community space thrive.

Permanent contract (subject to ongoing funding)
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per year (pro rata if part time) depending on experience & subject to a review after 12 months
We are open to appointing this role on either a part time or full-time basis, depending on the experience, skills and availability of the successful candidate

We recognise that excellent candidates may come with different levels of experience and availability. For example, the role could suit: A highly experienced candidate who prefers to work fewer hours at a higher salary level, or someone earlier in their career who is keen to grow into the role over more hours. We are therefore open to discussing flexible working arrangements, including different weekly hours, provided the needs of the Centre can be met.

Our priority is to find the right person to help the Centre thrive, and we are open to structuring the role accordingly within the current salary range.

While the charity is committed to sustaining the role long-term, like many community organisations this is dependent on securing and maintaining funding, and we will work proactively to secure the financial position. The trustees are committed to strengthening the Centre’s financial sustainability and see this role as central to its future success.
