You’ll be working with a group of up to 16 young people to:
- Ensure their safety
- Assist them with their personal development throughout the programme
- Report any safeguarding concerns
- Support and run sessions, give feedback and create positive environments for young people
- To be part of an exciting programme that has tangible results for the young people involved.
- We thoroughly train and prepare every single member of staff to make sure they have the most productive experience and feel confident in leading our NCS participants. You’ll complete NCS’s online training which covers:
- Critical Incident Response
- Introduction to NCS
- Introduction to Programme Safety
- Safeguarding
- Mental Health Awareness
In addition to NCS’s online training, we run a training weekend introducing you to the NCS programme, your role as a leader, how to keep young people safe on programme, and what it’s like to work with young people.
We also offer Food Safety and First Aid training as needed – each are half a day long.
