Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity supports under-fives with cerebral palsy, chromosome abnormalities and rare genetic disorders. We offer intensive, early intervention services to children, providing physiotherapy, conductive education, swimming sessions, music therapy, speech and language therapy and home-play sessions - all free of charge.
The charity receive no statutory funding and are reliant on the goodwill of the community to continue to provide our life-changing services to families in need.
What does the opportunity involve doing?
As a Collection Tin Coordinator for Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity, you'll be able to make a difference on your doorstep. You will play a crucial role in helping us successfully fundraise and raise the profile of the charity.
Responsibilities include:
- Approaching businesses to hold collection tins.
- Maintaining records of collection tin locations.
- Counting funds.
This is a fully flexible role that you can do in your local area.
What induction, training and support is offered?
Volunteers will be offered an induction at the centre ahead of starting their volunteering role.
They will be given full training and resources to complete their tasks, with ongoing support from our team.
