Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Run the management, delivery, and evaluation on a programme of challenge events, community projects and corporate donors.
• Identify and develop opportunities within assigned markets and audiences to create a robust pipeline of prospects.
• To devise and implement action plans for mobilising fundraising activity and achieving income targets.
• Work closely with Head of M&C&F to develop and implement a multi-channel supporter journey, focusing resource on high value fundraising activities and donors.
• To help build relationships and support a portfolio of community ambassadors to help grow income across key markets.
• To work closely with the marketing and campaign colleagues with a view to understanding raising our profile and reputation.
• Work collaboratively with other colleagues in pursuance of common goals and contribute to the maintenance and development of relevant policy and procedures.
• Attend and contribute constructively to regular line management supervision and appraisal protocols.
• Represent Grassroots Suicide Prevention at local, regional or national events & meetings as required to do so.
To be successful in this role, you must be responsive, extremely organised and have the ability to meet deadlines and enjoy achieving and succeeding targets. You will be a dynamic, confident, and effective communicator, who excels at winning hearts and minds and thrives on tangible results. You will be a creative thinker and problem solver willing to challenge and propose solutions and improvements to ensure we fundraise effectively. Though part of a team, the expectation is that you are experienced in your field, highly self-motivated and comfortable keeping a fast pace working autonomously.
For this role, you’ll need:
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a fundraising role
• Significant experience of project management and/ or events
• Proven track record of meeting income targets in challenge and/ or community fundraising
• Excellent relationship management skills
• To be an excellent verbal and written communicator
• To be a confident negotiator and presenter
• Sound knowledge of fundraising law and best practise
• A genuine passion for the Grassroots Suicide Prevention’s mission and values
Bonus points for
• Proven track record of income generation with minimal supervision
• Qualification in fundraising and or events management
• Managing a wide range of income streams
• Return on investment fundraising analysis
• Developing and managing a successful fundraising volunteer and ambassadors’ programme
• Creating compelling case for support and bids for funders
• Working on successful fundraising campaigns with marketing team
