St Anne's has been operating for over 30 years to support the street homeless and isolated in Brighton and Hove. We serve two meals each weekday morning to between 50 and 70 people. We signpost to other organisations if that is what people want and generally offer a safe space for people to physically and emotionally recharge themselves.
What does the opportunity involve doing?
Each morning around 60 clients come into the Centre. This opportunity involves welcoming clients into the Centre, taking their names and issuing lunch tickets (this involves cash handling). The most important task is friendly interaction with our very vulnerable clients.
What induction, training and support is offered?
Induction is with the Centre Manager and the role is very clearly defined and supported.
What skills or qualities are needed?
An ability to interact with tact and sensitivity with a vulnerable and sometimes difficult client base. Some cash handling.More info
