EmbraceAbility works in partnership with Khemara Cambodia to deliver our Community Outreach Programme on Koh Dach Island. We are proud to be part of the Khemara family, the longest serving local NGO in Cambodia.

Job Summary

To play a key role in the development and implementation of EmbraceAbility’s fundraising activities in order to secure funding for programme work and organisational core costs.

We are looking for three interns who have an enthusiasm for fundraising and events to join the organisation and make an impact while building your building experience in a professional setting.

The role will add real value to EmbraceAbility. As an intern, you’ll go through a structured development programme with skills in IT and project management, fundraising and events management.

As a team of three, you will also have the opportunity to run your own fundraising campaign with a target to put all of your skills to use.

What induction, training and support is offered?

Duties and responsibilities

Support the Director in the development of EmbraceAbility’s fundraising, communications strategy and action plans.
Contribute new ideas for fundraising and identify suitable funding initiatives, calls for purpose etc
Assist with annual action plans on specific areas of responsibility outlined above, identifying areas for growth and development and outlining measurable objectives.
Objectively review the success and achievements against agreed targets, identifying strengths, weaknesses and areas for development.
Maintain organised hard and soft files of all fundraising information.
Contribute to report writing, attending team meetings, liaising with the communications team and taking a flexible approach to general administrative and support tasks.
Assist with organising fundraising events and supporting the Director with various support tasks.

Communications

Liaising with the communication team including the printers and designers.
Collate case studies, photographs and information from the field.
Assist with marketing events and distribution for events.

What skills or qualities are needed?

Essential requirements:

Passion and interest for disability rights, education and healthcare in a development context
High standard of computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and the Internet)
Meticulous attention to detail
Shared values with EmbraceAbility
Insight into copywriting and marketing
Excellent writing and communication skills.

Desirable
