EmbraceAbility works in partnership with Khemara Cambodia to deliver our Community Outreach Programme on Koh Dach Island. We are proud to be part of the Khemara family, the longest serving local NGO in Cambodia.

Seeking to bridge the gap in disability care services on Koh Dach Island, EmbraceAbility provides tailored occupational therapy aimed at empowering children with disabilities and their families. Job Summary

EmbraceAbility is looking for two dynamic interns to assist with launching a Crowdfunder to raise money for a Daycare, Rehabilitation and Community Centre on Koh Dach Island. For children with disabilities living on Koh Dach Island, education and rehabilitation services that might promote inclusion are inaccessible or unavailable. EmbraceAbility aims to open a Daycare Centre, providing a community-led service to promote social inclusion and integration, while tackling issues of poverty that affect the most vulnerable.

The team will be Crowdfunding for £30,000.00 to cover start-up costs, equipment, staff and the first year of operations. We are looking for two interns to assist with the communication and marketing strategy for the Crowdfunder campaign.

What induction, training and support is offered?

Duties and responsibilities

Supporting the Director of EmbraceAbility with the development of the communication and marketing strategy for the programme
Developing and building a crowd to ensure the overall success of the Crowdfunder campaign
Assisting with building the project page, storytelling and imagery for the campaign
Developing a communications strategy and social media campaign
Researching and developing marketing opportunities for the Crowdfunder campaign
Liaising with media outlets.


Liaising with the communication team including the printers and designers
Collating case studies, photographs and information from the field.

What skills or qualities are needed?

Essential requirements:

Passion and interest for disability rights, education and healthcare in a development context
High standard of computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and the Internet)
Meticulous attention to detail
Shared values with EmbraceAbility
Insight into copywriting and marketing
Excellent writing and communication skills.
