We are a fund-raising charity supporting our local NHS Trusts in providing additional services and amenities for patients.
What does the opportunity involve doing?
We need someone to work as part of our team of fundraisers, selling donated goods at our shop on St James Street in Kemptown. We mainly sell second hand clothes and are interested in people who know about clothes and/or designing a shop window desplay.
We work in shifts of 10am to 1pm or 1pm to 5pm, or you can do the whole day.
What induction, training and support is offered?
All necessary training can be provided by the Friends. Our shop is a supportive environment. We encourage prospective volunteers to go into the Friends Shop at 95 St James' Street and introduce themselves to the manager.
What skills or qualities are needed?
Our volunteers need to be willing to work as part of a team. We have a variety of jobs available - sorting and pricing new stock, washing and ironing, tidying the shelves and working on the till. We need our volunteers to enjoy team work and be willing to learn.More info
