We are a fund-raising charity supporting our local NHS Trusts in providing additional services and amenities for patients.
What does the opportunity involve doing?
We need someone to volunteer in the back room of our charity shop on St James's Street in Kemp Town. Donated clothes, after sorting, need steaming with our professional steamer. This would suit someone who wants to work within a team but does not necessarily want to interact with the public (although that is an option).
We work in shifts of 10am to 1pm or 1pm to 5pm, or you can do the whole day.
What induction, training and support is offered?
All necessary training can be provided by the Friends. Our shop is a supportive environment. We encourage prospective volunteers to go into the Friends Shop at 95 St James' Street and introduce themselves to the manager.
What skills or qualities are needed?
Our volunteers need to be willing to work as part of a team. All training is provided.More info
