This is an exciting opportunity to join Survivors’ Network as part of our newly funded Children and Young Person’s service. We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging individual with experience of working with young people who can help us to raise knowledge and awareness of not only our service but the needs of young survivors across Brighton and East Sussex.

Overall Objectives

To provide emotional and practical support to young survivors of sexual violence of any gender across Brighton and East Sussex by developing focussed support plans with clients to facilitate coping, recovery and resilience.

To enable young people who have experienced sexual violence and abuse and face additional barriers to accessing support, to engage positively with support services.

To ensure increased visibility and accessibility of support for hard to reach clients who may have not come through traditional routes of engagement.

To ensure all support is of a consistently high quality and responsive to the needs of service users and the community.

To promote Survivors' Network with local statutory bodies and partnerships.

To work to ensure strong and effective partnerships with external stakeholders across Brighton and East Sussex.

To raise awareness of the issues faced by survivors of sexual violence and provide effective advocacy/outreach in ensuring needs are recognised and met.

To deliver workshops and training to clients and professionals.

To represent Survivors’ Network in a professional manner.
