Wellbeing CYP ASC Trainee Counsellor at YMCA DownsLink Group

The Brighton & Hove Wellbeing Service have successfully secured funding for a trainee ASC therapist post to work with children and young people.

This exciting and unique opportunity is part of a wider strategy to increase access to evidence-based interventions to children and young people exhibiting mental health difficulties in Brighton & Hove. We work closely with CAMHs, the local authority and a range of voluntary and community sector organisations to deliver effective short-term therapeutic interventions.

The post-holder will work within the Dialogue service providing interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role. This intensive training post will equip the post – holder to provide interventions based on CYP-IAPT care principles and also interventions consistent with the ASC training course. The post- holder will work in the service for at least 2.5-3.0 days of the week using the newly developed skills whilst attending the training programme for the remaining 2.0-2.5 days.
