Overview- We are looking for someone to provide support to Service Managers across two of our supported living services based in Coldean and Preston Park. The main duties would be monitoring of processes in the service, rota management and supervisions. Experience in supported living would be beneficial but it is essential the candidate has experience with supporting people with learning difficulties or vulnerable adults.

This is perfect opportunity for someone to gain management experience and develop their skills whilst getting close support from management.

What We’re Looking For-

We are looking to recruit a new Team Leader for our friendly, person centred Supported Living Services in Coldean and Preston Park. Working closely with the Service Managers and a team of Support Workers, the successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring the successful running of the service in helping our tenants with learning disabilities to lead fulfilling lives, build life skills and increase independence.

Main duties of the role will be to ensure the smooth running of the service- managing the rota, providing weekly checks across the service, taking on ad hoc projects to develop the service, and working with the team as a group to decide and implement ways to support our tenants to make informed decisions about their lives and help tackle the challenges that life throws at them.

Job Specification-

Key Responsibilities

Working with the Service Manager and Support Workers to ensure the service is flowing, support is consistent and staff are supported to provide the best support they can.
Rota Management- ensuring cover staff are booked in when support workers are on leave, training or sickness.
Providing weekly service checks on areas like medication and finance to ensure we are fulfilling our responsibilities to the tenants.
Working with keyworkers to conduct Grace Eyre’s Quarterly Monitoring of tenant finances.
Ensuring the flow of other areas of the service, such as checking and reordering meds and PPE.
Joining the team at monthly Team Meetings to plan and work through anything ongoing within the service, such as activities, appointments and challenges within the house.
Holding a good and practical supportive relationship with tenants, so that they feel confident to turn to you with issues.
Providing supervisions to Support Workers when needed, taking meeting minutes when necessary.
Supporting tenants directly when the need arises to jump in.
Always being on the lookout for ways we can improve the service, and taking on and seeing through projects to achieve this.
Successful candidates will be required to provide two referees (one must be your most recent employer) and undertake an enhanced DBS.
