Support Worker Choices Southern at The Grace Eyre Foundation

Grace Eyre are entering a period of rapid growth in the West Sussex area and are taking on new work every week. We need committed, enthusiastic support workers to provide our Outreach support service to our customers with learning disabilities*

Would you like to work with people with learning disabilities in their own homes in West Sussex? Do you want to make a difference in peoples’ lives? If you are motivated, enthusiastic and wish to provide a high quality service for people with learning disabilities and Autism we would love to hear from you. We are looking for support workers to work in customers’ own homes across the Southern Choices West Sussex region (including Chichester, Bognor Regis, Selsey, Worthing, and Southwick).

We welcome applicants with experience in similar roles although experience is not everything: if you are the right person, are caring, committed and enthusiastic, we will provide all the training and development you need to become an excellent support worker.

The role involves promoting individuals’ independence by enabling them to build on their strengths and achieve their goals, dreams and wishes. You will be supporting individuals in their own home and in the community with all aspects of daily living skills, including personal care, cooking, budgeting and being part of the community.

You will be part of a rota system with a variety of support sessions with our customers, ranging from one hour to eight hours per session. Some sessions will be in people’s own homes and some will involve taking them out to enjoy the local community and further afield.
A car driver would be desirable though not essential.

No applicant for employment or employee will be treated less favorable than another on grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, marriage & civil partnership or pregnancy & maternity, and we encourage applications from people with learning disabilities or identify with being on the autistic spectrum/neurodiverse.
