Sourcing and Logistics Coordinator WRAP Project at FareShare Sussex

This is a fantastic opportunity to support a project to pilot an Electric Delivery van and Electric Cargo bike to enable and increase the redistribution of surplus food to the most vulnerable in the community. Last year we provided food to 136 local projects and charities, enough for over 1 million meals, helping to reach over 8,691 people across Sussex and Surrey each week. With a target to triple the amount of food we re-distribute and extend our service to 200 charities by 2021.

This is an exciting opportunity to help support our expansion and help us increase our impact locally. Your work will make sure that quality surplus food is helping feed people in need.

Funded by the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) the role is full-time and fixed term for one year.

The main purpose of the role will be to build new and develop existing relationships with the local food industry to increase the amount of surplus food we collect.

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to foster and maintain business relationships.

We need someone who is available to work full time 37.5 hours Monday to Friday (hours may vary between 8am and 8pm) with the possibility of occasional Saturday working.

If you’re interested in the role, find out more in the Job Description and Person Specification document. Please complete and return the application and equal opportunities form to recruitment@faresharesussex.org.uk.
