Shared Lives Co-ordinator (GE20204) at The Grace-Eyre Foundation

Grace Eyre is a unique charity which was established in 1898 and has been helping people with learning disabilities to have real choices and gain independence for over 100 years. While primarily working across Sussex we also support people in other areas. Shared lives carer’s live with people in their own homes and support them to live their daily lives and move toward independence. Most people we support have learning disability, Autism or Mental health needs.

As a Shared lives Coordinator you role is varied and no two days are the same. You will be helping monitor and support self-employed carer’s and the people they support.

We are looking for somebody with a positive attitude and who is a people person at heart. You’ll need to be able to communicate well and enjoy working in a team. We are looking to grow and develop and we want you to be part of this.

You will be spending you’re time visiting carer’s, attending reviews and helping develop our support to carer’s. You’ll need to be able use a computer, smart phone and be able to travel around to meet carer’s on your case load.

The main working hours there are opportunities to work flexibility and from home, mainly 9-5 but sometimes you may be required to work outside these hours.

Full training and induction will be provided.
