This is an opportunity for a talented individual to join our staff team as a Service Manager. You will manage delivery of SIS Community Interpreting and Community Translation operations. This is a fast paced, demanding and responsive environment.

Job Vacancy – Service Manager
Permanent – 35 hours per week
Starting Salary £33,980 (with progression to £39,133)
11% Employers Pension contribution with 5% Employee contribution
Hybrid Working (Minimum two days per week in SIS Office @ Community Base – 113 Queens Road, Brighton, BN1 3 XG).

Sussex Interpreting Services is a social enterprise and registered charity based in Brighton.
We work in partnership with the NHS, Local Authorities and other public and third sector organisations to ensure people with language support needs have full access to publicly funded services. We help 4500 people across Sussex, delivering Community Interpreting, Community Translation, Advocacy, Social Prescribing, Befriending, Health Promotion and Community Engagement. Our services are critical to reducing health inequality and safeguarding diverse communities. We are very proud of our track record. We are growing and expanding our team.

This is an opportunity for a talented individual to join our staff team as a Service Manager.
You will manage delivery of SIS Community Interpreting and Community Translation operations.
This is a fast paced, demanding and responsive environment.

You will need a demonstrable track record as a Senior Manager, ideally within a public service or the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector. You must have excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer care, able to self- manage and work under pressure. You will appreciate business processes, risk and change management. You will guide SIS Co-ordination Team Leaders (who are responsible for day-to-day co-ordination workstream management) and skilfully support and develop High Performing Teams.

The Service Manger will build productive customer relationships and engage diplomatically and sensitively. You need excellent problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
