Project Worker at Turning tides

Project Worker - Byron and Manor Road hostels (permanent) Salary £21,422 per annum 37.5 hours per week (please note that the post entails working as part of a rolling shift pattern that includes early and late shifts, weekends and public holidays Location – Worthing

Turning Tides is a multifunctional, complex needs homelessness organisation that works in Worthing, Adur, Littlehampton, Horsham and Mid Sussex. It has over 100 staff and 300 volunteers. Its mission is to end the need to sleep rough.

The Byron and Manor Road residential projects (10 minutes apart) are a high support response to rough sleeping and emergency accommodation placements. Using a harm minimisation approach within a psychologically informed environment you will work in partnership with residents on a case work basis, the whole staff team, specialist interventions and local agencies to forge personalised pathways out of homelessness into suitable housing.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative and resilient who can motivate and inspire people to make positive life changes.

Experience of delivering support to vulnerable people with multiple and complex needs is essential, as is a basic knowledge of alcohol, drugs and issues around addiction and relapse management, mental health and personality disorders using strengths based interventions.
