Peer Tutors x 4 – Brighton Recovery College at Southdown

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Brighton & Hove Recovery College. We are looking to appoint 4 Peer Tutors on a term time basis, 8-10 hours per week (80 hours per term), although there will be a requirement for up to 10% of hours to be delivered outside of regular term time.

Responsibilities will include contributing to the continued development of the college, proposing,

co-producing and co-delivering courses and workshops which match the ethos of the Recovery College and work within the Recovery Model, ensuring students are well supported, and completing associated administration tasks. You will be supported by the Team and Service Managers.

You will work within the Recovery College delivering courses with the relevant lived experience applied. You will have lived experience of mental health challenges, a basic teacher training qualification (PTLLS or similar) and have excellent organisational, communication and teaching skills. Courses will be delivered both online and in-person (restrictions allowing)
