Multiple and Complex Needs Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) at Survivors’ Network

We are recruiting two Multiple and Complex Needs ISVAs. This is a new role within our growing ISVA service. The ISVA service provides advocacy and support to survivors of sexual violence and abuse, largely linked to the criminal justice process; however, this post may have less of a particular focus on this area.

The Multiple and Complex Needs ISVAs will be responsible for developing and providing an adapted service to clients who may ordinarily struggle to engage with the service through our standard offer. They will develop partnerships and processes grounded in a better understanding of the access and support needs particular to clients who have multiple and/or complex needs.

As a skilled worker with an understanding of multiple and complex needs, you will have significant experience in working with vulnerable and/or traumatised people, a commitment to working in a client-centred way and a good understanding of self-care.

One role to be based in East Sussex (Brighton or Eastbourne) and one role to be based in West Sussex (Crawley area), with work across Sussex.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and is open to self-identifying female applicants only, as being female is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 pt 1 of the Equality Act 2010. Survivors’ Network is an equal opportunities employer. We constantly strive to create an environment representative of and responsive to the communities in which we work, and as such particularly encourage applications from BAME women, who are currently under-represented within the Survivors’ Network staff team.

Interviews will be held on Monday 19th October via Zoom.
