Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) Female *This post is open to self-identifying women at Survivors Network

The Independent Sexual Violence Advisor service provides advocacy and support to survivors of sexual violence and abuse linked to the criminal justice process. As a skilled case worker, you will have significant experience in working with vulnerable people, a commitment to working in a client-centred way and a good understanding of self care. Post holder to be largely based at our Eastbourne office, but will spend time in our central Brighton office, with travel across East Sussex.

To provide emotional and practical advocacy support to adult survivors (of any gender) of sexual violence, over the age of 18.
To support survivors of sexual violence and/or abuse through the criminal justice process related to these matters
To work with the current ISVA team to provide a service in East Sussex and Brighton and Hove
To ensure all ISVA support is of a consistently high quality and responsive to the needs of service users and the community
To promote Survivors' Network with local statutory bodies and partnerships
To raise awareness of the issues relating to and the needs of survivors of sexual violence
