Housing Services Manager
Salary: £38,663 per annum plus an Essential Car User Allowance of £1,218 per annum
37 hours per week, based in Eastbourne
5.5% employer’s pension contribution (the level of this is reviewed annually).
Annual Leave entitlement starts at 25 working days (pro rata)
Housing and Property Services are part of a unique organisation providing accommodation to just under five hundred tenants across East Sussex, a number of who have previously been clients of the wide range of supported housing services that BHT also provide.
We are seeking an exceptional Housing Manager to join our Directorate who has the vision, skill and empathy to drive the service forward at a crucial time in BHT’s development.
Keys tasks include leading a dedicated team, initiating new practices to achieve continuous improvement in service delivery, managing budgets, income management, health and safety, anti-social behaviour and, working with our specialist worker, promoting and developing tenant involvement.
We work closely with our tenants both in the delivery of the service, for example utilising our recently appointed tenancy sustainment officer, and in the design and monitoring of the service through our scrutiny panel, focus groups and via our two tenant Board members who are both ex-clients.
The ideal candidate will be an innovator who is seeking an opportunity to develop their career with an organisation dedicated to providing quality services to our tenants.
They will be an exceptional leader, a great ambassador for the organisation, have a good knowledge of housing law, including court procedures, a good understanding of the private rented sector, the ability to manage budgets, strong commercial awareness and excellent communication and presentation skills.
