Development Assistant at Turning Tides

Established in 1991, Turning Tides is a community-led charity dedicated to ending homelessness. We empower homeless or insecurely housed individuals to achieve sustainable independent living. We believe that everyone has the right to a home, regardless of the difficulties and issues they may face in their lives. We believe in showing people who need our help that they are not alone, that the wider community is there to support them and to offer hope for a better future.

We are looking for a Development Assistant to join our Development and Quality Team. This team enables our services to grow, develop and improve. They also support the creation of new services in order to meet local vision and our mission. The team work in collaboration with frontline services, staff, clients and volunteers. They focus on identifying opportunities in the community, advancing new business and property led opportunities, whilst also supporting mobilisation and continuous improvement of services and systems.

The Development Assistant will play a crucial role in this team by providing administrative, research and project management support to the team. In particular they will assist the Head of Development and Quality with property development and mobilisation of new projects. The role ensures that the team has the information needed to identify leads and opportunities and support planning of projects and bids in order to create innovative services to achieve the organisational mission to end local homelessness.

We are seeking a driven, productive and highly organized individual. You will have a high level of motivation, will be able to work independently and as part of a team and will have a hands-on approach to all your work, You will have high level knowledge of creating and implementing administrative systems and will be someone who would enjoy being part of a forward thinking and innovative team.
