Community Centre Manager needed at The Old Boat
The Old Boat Corner Community Centre in Hollingbury provides space, facilities and activities for local residents. It includes rooms to hire, a community café, a garden and lounge area which houses a play café. It also hosts Hollingbury Library. The building is managed by the Old Boat Corner Community Association. We are now recruiting a Centre Manager to help us grow the centre and increase its support to the local community.
We are looking for a self-motivated, organised individual to manage this busy and well-loved community space. You would be responsible for:
• Overseeing the running and operations of the centre
• Managing the building
• Managing staff
• Recruiting and supporting volunteers to increase community projects in the centre
• Promoting the centre with the local area and beyond
• Increasing centre usage, activities and income
• Liaising with the trustees
Ideally you would have experience of managing a building and / or working within a community setting.

Salary
£23,836 – £25,295 per annum (pro-rata) depending on experience
Hours per week
25 hours per week, ideally 5 hours per day Monday to Friday (to include occasional evening and weekend work)
