Wednesday lunchtime yoga

Lunchtime Yoga Classes at Community Base take place every Wednesday 1-2pm. Cost: Only £4 per class. Equipment provided. Ask our receptionist for details.

When we practice yoga, we aim to unite mind, body and breath. The practice of yoga promotes physical health, mental calm and emotional well-being. Yoga improves posture and increases flexibility and stamina. It also improves the function of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive and hormonal systems. Yoga helps to relieve and reduce stress, and promotes deep relaxation. Regular practice of yoga helps us to access our inner calm and self-confidence, and to live more fully in the present.

It is also great fun!

The classes will be taught by Jen Henwood, a long-standing yoga practitioner and qualified Iyengar Yoga teacher.

In her classes, Jen aims to provide a supportive and friendly environment. Students are encouraged to work according to their own ability, in order to realise their full potential and to experience the many benefits of yoga. The classes will be suitable for complete beginners and for those with some previous experience.

Please wear comfortable clothing which allows you to move freely. We practice yoga in bare feet.
